Your Seasonal Home Maintenance Checklist.

Summertime is here and it's time for your seasonal home maintenance work to be done.

Task #1: A/C Tune Up

Make sure your AC is primed and tuned up before the dog days of summer hit. Replace air filters, clean condenser coils, check your coolant lines for any type of leaks. Doing these simple steps will help you make sure you stay cool during this southern summer heat.

Task #2: Check Your Smoke Alarms

Make sure to check the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Most new homes have hard wired smoke detectors, but its still safe practice to check yours to make sure.

Task #3: Clean Your Grill

We all know summertime is grill season, but before you have all your friends and family over for some delicious burgers and hot dogs or smoked meat of your choice lets first make sure your grill is in working order. For gas grills, turn the heat up on high let it burn off any left over food residue, after its cooled then clean it with a grill brush. Don't forget to clean all your outdoor pots, pans, and utensils.

Task #4: Clean Your Decks and Porches

Now that the pollen has mostly cleared out of the air, it is time to get those decks, patios, and outdoor living spaces that nice shine they have been needing. If you have all the items and equipment to do it great! If not you can always find a great local company who can take care of this for you. The best place to find a company is local town Facebook groups.

Task #5: Check Your Pools Safety Features

As the weather warms up, it means pool season is upon us! Before everyone starts coming over and enjoying your pool you need to make sure all the safety features are working properly. Make sure pool fencing is, secure check all locks and pool ladders.

• Pressure washing driveway, walkways, siding

• Trimming bushes and shrubs

• Checking and replacing all out door lights
